History

ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss is a private, international school that started operation in 2003 in the heart of the Neuss and Dusseldorf areas, located in the Western part of central Germany. There, private and public initiators including the county of Neuss, the city of Neuss, and the Neuss Chamber of Commerce joined forces with SABIS^® Educational Systems, Inc. and numerous local and international companies in the region to establish an international, college-preparatory school.

When it first opened, the school had 65 students enrolled. Today, enrolment has risen to over 550 students representing 44 different countries, including China, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, The Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, and USA.

As a member of the SABIS^® School Network, ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss provides a top-quality, international education and currently offers a full-day academic program to students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. With such a distinguished academic offering, ISR is becoming an important facet of the infrastructure of the Neuss/Düsseldorf region.

ISR has also been featured in three regional image films: Rhein-Kreis Neuss' The Perfect Balance; the Lower Rhine area's Welcome to the Niederrhein Region--Neighbour to the World; NRW.INVEST's We Love the New.  The Rhine region and the district of Neuss are of the most successful economic locations in Germany. These international image films show impressive pictures of the region on the Rhine, in close vicinity to Cologne and Dusseldorf as the regional capital.
