Our School > History

ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss is a private school that started operation in 2003 in the heart of the Neuss/Düsseldorf area in the Western part of central Germany. There, private and public initiators including the county of Neuss, the city of Neuss, and the Neuss Chamber of Commerce joined forces with SABIS® Educational Systems, Inc. and numerous local and international companies in the region to establish an international, college-preparatory school.

When it first opened, the school had 65 students enrolled. Today, enrolment has risen to ca. 500 students representing 38 different countries, including China, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, The Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, and USA.
As a member of the SABIS® School Network, ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss provides a top-quality, international education and currently offers a full-day academic program to students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. With such a distinguished academic offering, ISR is becoming an important facet of the infrastructure of the Neuss/Düsseldorf region.
